Élie E. Arsenault (1841-1923), a prosperous Urbainville farmer, was one of the main instigators of the first Agricultural Exhibition. The December 22, 1908 issue of L'Impartial reported that ''he had been the pride of the Union Farmers' Institute, winning six prizes at the Amherst Exhibition which garnered him the tidy sum of twenty-five dollars.''
